The Family Registration Certificate (FRC) is an official document issued by NADRA that verifies and provides a record of your family composition data. It is required for school admissions, visa applications, inheritance cases, and many government forms. NADRA issues the FRC in the format prescribed in Schedule XI of Rule 19 of the NADRA (NIC) Rules, 2002.
All family members to be included in the FRC must have a valid 13-digit NADRA identification number (CNIC, CRC, NICOP, or POC). Deceased family members' CNICs must be formally cancelled (using a Death Certificate) before they can be included. If a child under 18 was issued a CRC without a photograph, that child must be physically present at the NADRA office.
(A) NADRA Registration Centre (NRC): Visit the nearest NRC. FRC is issued in real-time — you receive it on the same day. (B) Pak Identity Mobile App: Apply from home via the Pak ID app (Android & iOS). Navigate to: Home → Family → FRC. A PDF version will be available to download within 24 hours.
At the NRC, biometric verification of the applicant (head of family) will be performed. If any children under 18 have a CRC issued without a photo, their photographs will be taken at the centre. For the Pak ID app, biometric is verified through the app itself.
Choose the FRC category you need, then pay the applicable fee. FRC is only available in the Executive category (same-day/1-day processing). There is no Normal or Urgent tier for FRC.
At the NRC, the FRC is printed and handed over to you on the same day after processing. Via the Pak ID app, the PDF is available for download in the ID Vault section of the app within 24 hours of approval.
